Job summary

Fulton Bank is seeking a full-time Mortgage Loan Officer to cultivate external referral sources and generate first mortgages within the MD/DC/Northern VA market. This commission-based role focuses on sourcing leads from realtors, builders, and other professionals to originate loans.

The candidate will interview applicants, collect financial data, assess eligibility, and present suitable loan options while maintaining compliance and documentation throughout the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of residential mortgage lending experience in the local market.
• Proven ability to develop referral sources outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops and expands external referral sources to solicit first mortgages and maintain origination volume.
• Interview applicants and collect financial information to assess loan eligibility and recommend suitable products.
• Engages in customer-specific sales activity to attract business for Fulton Mortgage Company.
• Process loan paperwork, follow up with customers, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the loan lifecycle.
