Job summary

Saia Inc. is seeking an Account Executive to develop and manage client relationships in the Chesapeake area. You will identify business opportunities, propose tailored freight and LTL logistics solutions, and collaborate with operations to deliver exceptional service.

This role requires travel to client sites, trade shows, and events, with responsibility for negotiations, proposals, and CRM maintenance to drive revenue growth and client retention.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record that meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prospects and secures new clients within an assigned territory to drive revenue growth.
• Understands client objectives and proposes tailored logistics and transportation solutions.
• Collaborates across operations, service center, and internal partners to deliver quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develops client growth and retention plans to build a profitable, long-term book of business.
• Leads contract negotiations and closes sales to exceed performance targets.
• Prepares and presents compelling proposals and presentations to key stakeholders.
• Maintains accurate customer relationship management records and documents client interactions.
• Monitors market trends, competitor activity, and industry advancements to identify market growth opportunities.
