Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Pennsylvania is seeking an Account Executive for Commercial Accounts. You will partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and workers' compensation coverage for new and renewal business based on clients’ needs.

You are decisive, detail-oriented, and able to build relationships to drive profitable growth. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, a Bachelor’s degree, and CPCU

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Three to five years of underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• Strong critical thinking to identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Foster relationships with external partners by meeting agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products; travel may be required.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and regional sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
