Travelers, a leading property casualty insurer, seeks an Account Executive Officer for Commercial Accounts to partner with agents and brokers to secure coverage for mid-size businesses. The role requires strong underwriting expertise and the ability to sell in challenging markets.

The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial underwriting experience, CPCU designation, and exceptional negotiation and communication skills to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking skills to identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to negotiate with agents and brokers in difficult situations.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and/or workers’ compensation coverage.
• Assess complex risk and sell Travelers products in challenging markets.
• Contribute to profitability and success by effective risk assessment and decision making.
