Job summary

Travelers is hiring an Account Executive for Commercial Accounts in Pennsylvania. You will partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, auto, and workers' compensation coverage for new and renewal business.

You’ll assess risk, negotiate terms, and drive profitable growth while maintaining strong relationships. The role requires 3–5 years in underwriting and a solid understanding of commercial lines, with travel to meet external partners and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Three to five years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local market.
• Strong critical thinking to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Develop relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet regularly with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and regional strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
