Job summary

CNA is seeking an individual contributor to manage commercial claims of low to moderate complexity in New York. You will verify coverage, gather facts, and maintain files while communicating with insureds and claimants to ensure timely updates and high-quality service.

Responsibilities include assessing liability, reserving reserves, coordinating with partners, and pursuing subrogation or fraud referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior claim handling or insurance industry/customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of low to moderate complexity commercial claims following company protocols.
• Verify policy coverage, gather information, and maintain documentation.
• Interact with insureds, claimants and partners to provide updates and maintain service quality.
• Estimate claim valuation and establish timely reserves per protocols.
• Determine liability and negotiable settlements through investigations and expert collaboration.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources to facilitate best claim outcomes.
• Identify subrogation, salvage or fraud opportunities for referral.
• Ensure compliance with state/local regulations and company guidelines.
