Job summary

CNA Insurance seeks an individual contributor to manage commercial claims with moderate to high complexity. You will investigate, assess coverage, and coordinate with counsel to resolve matters in a timely, compliant manner.

Excellent communication and collaboration with insureds, claimants and business partners are essential to success. Required is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, four years of relevant experience, and an Insurance Adjuster License where applicable.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of commercial insurance industry, products, policy language and claim practices.
• Ability to develop relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to assess coverage, liability and damages with judgement and analytics.
• Must have or obtain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manages moderate to high complexity commercial claims following protocols and authorizes disbursements within limits.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to insureds, claimants and partners with timely updates.
• Verifies coverage and reserves by interpreting policy language and consulting counsel when needed.
• Conducts focused investigations to verify facts, using statements and external sources.
• Develops internal/external relationships to resolve claims efficiently.
• Authorizes settlements within authority; escalates to manager as appropriate.
• Addresses subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud with Recovery/SIU teams.
• Maintains compliance with state/local requirements and company guidelines.
