Job summary

Graybar Electric Company is seeking a District Sales Manager to drive sales and gross margin in the Comm Data market across assigned territories. Lead a sales team and support staff, manage a multi-million dollar budget, and align district plans with strategic suppliers and market trends.

You will develop business and tactical plans, implement training, and coach reps to achieve targets while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of progressive business or wholesale distribution experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; four-year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution and Comm Data business.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, develop staff and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory business plans to support the Comm Data market.
• Implement the sales management process with pre-call and post-call coaching.
• Establish annual sales and gross margin targets for district reps.
• Evaluate industry trends and identify opportunities and threats.
• Build relationships with key customers and suppliers to position territory.
• Lead recruiting, staffing, development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Provide tools and training to support market growth.
