Job summary

You will manage a sales team, drive business plans, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to achieve district objectives. The role requires strategic sales management, budget oversight, and strong customer relationships to position Graybar’s market leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in business or wholesale distribution
• Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry and Graybar business
• Knowledge of Comm Data business and company policies/procedures
• Knowledge of financial analysis methods and continuous improvement practices
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, listening, and negotiation abilities
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
• Ability to lead complex project teams and leverage district resources effectively

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans to support the Comm Data market in the assigned territory
• Collaborate with sales team to implement district plans and tactical actions
• Establish annual sales and gross margin targets for market personnel
• Manage recruiting, staffing, and performance management in Comm Data
• Provide guidance to retain profitable business and ensure high quality customer service
• Develop relationships with key customers and suppliers to position territory in the marketplace
• Lead training and tools development for growth in the territory
• Evaluate industry trends and identify opportunities and threats
