Job summary

Comfort Systems USA – Ohio is looking for an experienced Building Automation Account Executive to grow our commercial BAS and HVAC controls business across Columbus and Central Ohio. You will leverage established relationships and market knowledge to build a revenue-producing pipeline and own the sales cycle from discovery to project award.

You will collaborate with engineering, estimating, operations, and service teams to deliver practical BAS solutions, expansions, and retrofits.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in commercial building automation, HVAC controls, DDC systems, or related BAS solutions.
• Established relationships and market knowledge in Columbus and Central Ohio.
• A demonstrated ability to independently prospect, develop opportunities, and build a revenue-producing sales pipeline.
• A track record of winning new business, growing accounts, and delivering measurable sales results.
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, integrations, upgrades, retrofits, and service solutions.
• Experience selling directly to commercial customers and working with contractors, engineers, facility professionals, and other industry partners.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• The ability to manage a territory independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, estimating, operations, and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new building automation and controls business throughout Columbus and Central Ohio.
• Independently build and maintain a qualified, revenue-producing sales pipeline.
• Develop relationships with building owners, facility managers, mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and other decision-makers.
• Identify opportunities for BAS projects, controls upgrades, retrofits, system integrations, energy optimization, and service agreements.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and customer discovery through proposals, negotiation, and project award.
