Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist for the Hair Color Bar to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, learn color theory, and help guests choose the best color. This role offers training toward becoming a Licensed Colorist within 3-9 months and involves shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and color service support.

The position can be full or part time, with compensation consisting of base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, ranging from $25.82 to $26.82 per hour depending on

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; beauty industry preferred.
• Strong communication and problem solving in a fast-paced retail/salon environment.
• Comfortable operating POS systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to deliver a guest experience.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and color applications.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals (retail, services, memberships).
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies and procedures.
• Promote revenue through memberships, subscriptions, and home care products.
