Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and learn toward becoming a Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months. You’ll learn color consultations, guest services, hair care products, shampooing and conditioning, blowouts, and color theory in a busy, guest‑focused salon environment.

This role reports to the Manager and can be full or part time. Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions and tips, with potential earnings of $27–$28 per hour at

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license in the applying state.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Effective communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail/salon.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling and blowouts.
• Support sales goals through retail, memberships and services.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies and procedures.
• Assist Colorist training and develop behind-the-chair skills.
