Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant, Licensed Cosmetologist to support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead, delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn services, assist with consultations, and grow toward becoming a Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.

The role offers base hourly pay plus commissions and tips, with earnings for this location ranging from $24.50–$25.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry-level customer service or retail sales experience; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services such as assisting in finishing services and shampooing/conditioning, styling and blowouts.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other KPIs, including retail, services, memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and assets security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive Hair Color Bar revenue by increasing the average ticket through additional services, memberships, subscriptions, and home care products.
• Take a proactive approach by learning and progressing from Assistant Colorist to Licensed Colorist.
