Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare repair estimates in accordance with insurer and company guidelines. This role involves communicating value to customers and insurance partners to drive a high close rate.

You will map damage, take photos, upload to the CCC One system, and finalize estimates with the Repair Planning Template, coordinating with the repair team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Must currently possess or successfully complete 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4-6 years related work experience. Photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Assist with damage mapping and initial photographs.
• Upload photos and notes to CCC One with arrival time and details.
• Verify and finalize estimates using Repair Planning Template.
• Coordinate with production and repair team to ensure accurate notations and parts lists.
• Communicate with customers regarding estimates and promise dates.
