Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Chicago is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare accurate repair estimates in line with insurance partner and company guidelines. The role supports the Estimator and aims to improve the accuracy and profitability of quotes while upholding customer service standards.

You will engage with customers, map damage, assemble parts lists, coordinate with production and insurance adjusters, and help maintain timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months.
• Preferred 4–6 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is consistently executed.
• Greets customers and builds rapport at repair drop off.
• Maps damage with customer and prepares estimates.
• Uploads photos/notes to CCC One and tracks arrival times.
• Verifies estimates during teardown and finalizes with templates.
• Communicates with production and insurance agents as needed.
• Schedules with customers and follows up regularly.
