Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Estimator in Training to work closely with the lead estimator. You will learn how to diagnose damage, prepare accurate estimates, and communicate value to customers, aiming for a high close rate in collision and glass services.

You will handle mapping, photo documentation, and production coordination while learning company guidelines and insurance partner requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must currently possess or complete 16 I-CAR units within first 12 months.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience with photo-imaging software experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Assist in repair mapping and initial photography; upload to CCC One with notes.
• Verify and finalize estimates using Repair Planning Template.
• Coordinate with repair team to ensure accurate notations and list parts.
• Set promise dates and call customers to review estimates and dates.
• Provide regular updates to customers per management standards.
• Assist insurance adjusters with damage reports and re-inspections.
