Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training in Michigan. You will learn to diagnose and prepare repair estimates, communicate value to customers, and work with insurance partners to maintain a high close rate.

The role requires a strong customer service background and a willingness to complete I-CAR units within the first year. You will work with the Estimator to ensure accurate damage assessment, participate in production meetings, and maintain clear, proactive communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must currently possess or complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months of employment.
• 4–6 years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and take initial photos.
• Upload photos and notes to CCC One with arrival time and notes.
• Notify production that vehicle arrived and place in production queue.
• Verify estimate during teardown and finalize with repair planning template.
• Call customers to review estimate and promise date; update regularly.
