Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn diagnosis and estimate preparation for repairs, following insurance partner and company guidelines. You will drive a high close rate by communicating value and supporting the customer throughout the process.

You will work closely with the estimator team, handle damage mapping, prepare accurate estimates, and collaborate with production to ensure quality and timing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess or complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months of employment.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience.
• Photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and identifies WOW opportunities.
• Uploads photos and notes to CCC One with arrival time.
• Verifies estimate during teardown and finalizes using Repair Planning Template.
• Notifies production and coordinates with repair team for notations and parts.
• Sets promise date and reviews estimate with customer.
• Updates customer regularly according to management standards.
• Participates in production meetings.
• Calls customers about next-day completion and schedules appointments.
• Supports insurance adjusters and re-inspectors as needed.
