Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a cafe team, uphold high standards of hospitality, and drive operational excellence. You’ll supervise workflow, train staff, manage inventory and cash handling, and ensure safety and quality across beverage and food service.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in leadership, completed or soon-to-be-completed Blue Bottle Academy Barista training, and a Food Safety Certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising or leading a cafe team.
• Barista training and validation required or completed within 90 days post-hire.
• Food Safety Certification required for the state and role or obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead cafe operations to ensure safety, cleanliness, quality and efficiency.
• Oversee service flow and hospitality delivery while following cafe standards.
• Handle cash and daily deposits; manage inventory and ordering.
• Train and onboard new team members and guide performance with feedback.
• Respond to guest concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support sustainability initiatives and drive sales and operational improvements.
