Blue Bottle Coffee Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead cafe operations, deliver exceptional hospitality, and uphold stringent standards. You will guide a team to optimize service flow, manage inventory, and train new staff while maintaining top beverage and food quality.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership without direct reports, cash handling, and adherence to safety and sustainability goals. A passion for guest experience and learning is essential for success in this hands-on

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience or team leadership
• Completion of Blue Bottle Academy’s Barista training and validation or to complete within 90 days post-hire
• Existing Food Safety Certification required for the state/role or obtained within 30 days post-hire
• Basic math and computer skills
• Flexible schedule with mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead service flow to ensure safety, cleanliness, quality and efficiency
• Oversee operations and inventory responsibilities including ordering and receiving
• Onboard and train new team members for seamless integration
• Handle cash handling and daily deposits
• Address guest concerns promptly and maintain hospitality standards
• Support sustainability initiatives and company-wide objectives
• Ensure beverages and food meet high quality standards
