Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I in New Hampshire to oversee and improve CNC machining processes for rifle and pistol components, from tool selection to process layouts and control plans.

You will identify efficiency improvements, manage projects with Monday.com, and ensure safety and compliance while developing tooling, fixture, and process documentation for on-time delivery and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required with 0-3 years of previous experience.
• High level of technical expertise required and must be strong analytical thinker.
• Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as SOLIDWORKS, and possess a basic working knowledge of Monday.com.
• Experience in using CAD, CAM, and data analysis programs is required.
• Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities

• Design new processes from start to finish including machine selection, fixtures, gages, tooling, control plans, work instructions, tool life studies, and heat treat studies.
• Identify areas for improvement and cost savings analysis.
• Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements to quality and throughput.
• Track tasks and projects along with Engineering Lead and Supervisor using Monday.com boards, spreadsheets, and personal notes.
• Maintain elevated levels of organization and project management to ensure on-time delivery and product quality.
• Resolve quality issues related to assigned product and processes using inspection, data collection, basic dimensional stack-ups, control plan edits and basic statistical methods.
