Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to design, implement, and optimize machining and assembly processes for firearms components.

The role emphasizes CNC machining, GD&T, and process improvement across tooling, equipment, and production lines. The candidate will support production from concept through turnkey runoffs, ensuring quality, throughput, and cost targets while collaborating with engineering and shop floor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3-6 years of previous experience.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) ASME Y14.5M-2009.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as SOLIDWORKS, and Monday.com.
• Good working knowledge of materials and heat-treating processes.
• Experience in evaluating, building, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Must be able to clearly convey ideas in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing firearm product designs with budget estimates.
• Procure tooling and equipment for new products to meet timelines and cost targets.
• Identify areas for cost savings and improvements in quality and throughput.
• Evaluate and improve product designs for manufacturability using GD&T.
• Provide production floor support for high-volume CNC machining, assembly, metal finishing, and automation.
• Debug and runoff new capital equipment to meet plant goals for quality and throughput.
• Generate and revise process drawings, QC plans, and production routings.
