Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in New Hampshire is seeking a CNC Machine Operator I to run low to medium complexity components on CNC equipment. This is an entry-level role that leverages prior machining exposure and problem-solving skills to support manufacturing needs.

The position requires ability to read work instructions in English, basic math, and the capacity to work both independently and with a team, including overtime as needed. Attention to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to set the tool to the correct height with assistance from others.
• Typically requires 90 days as a CNC Trainee and/or one year of CNC Operator experience.
• Basic computer and math skills are required.
• Some experience reading drawings is helpful.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Must convey ideas clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic ability to interpret technical drawings for proper inspection.

Responsibilities

• Independently load parts and operate a minimum of one type of CNC equipment.
• Complete all operational processes, checklists, control plans, and procedures as required.
• Identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holder assemblies based on process documentation.
• Learn tool wear differences and read program start lines and M codes.
• Perform inspection measurements with hand tools, gauges, and CMM/equator data as defined.
• Maintain 5S and keep the workstation clean and organized.
