Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching in Knoxville, TN seeks an experienced CNC Machinist with Wire EDM expertise to set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machinery. The role focuses on high-precision component manufacturing with strict quality control.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints and GD&T, program G-Code, and interpret engineering drawings while maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in G-Code programming.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
