Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching in Knoxville, TN is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with strong Wire EDM experience to join our manufacturing team. This role requires setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to produce high-precision components while maintaining strict quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of CNC machining experience, hands-on Wire EDM experience, proficiency with G-Code, and familiarity with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Strong experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in programming and editing G-Code.
• Experience working with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
