Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our Knoxville, TN facility. The role focuses on Wire EDM along with setting up and programming CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision components.

The successful candidate will read blueprints and GD&T, troubleshoot G-Code, and maintain quality throughout first-piece to final inspections. A minimum of 4 years in CNC machining with Wire EDM experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on Wire EDM experience.
• Proficient in setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Able to read blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Proficient in G-Code programming and editing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
