Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with Wire EDM expertise to join our manufacturing team. The role involves setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce high-precision components while maintaining safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of CNC experience with Wire EDM, familiar with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls, and able to read blueprints and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• G-Code programming proficiency.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
