Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong Wire EDM experience to join our manufacturing team. The role involves setting up, operating, and programming precision CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision components while ensuring safety and quality.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of CNC machining experience with Wire EDM, familiar with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls, and able to read GD&T drawings and inspect parts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Proficient in setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in programming and editing G-Code.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code at machine controls.
• Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
