Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 0-2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields
• Currently in progress towards obtaining Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification.
• Required to travel regularly to local and regional project sites (typically within South Carolina and surrounding states) with overnight stays and perform extensive fieldwork under varying environmental conditions, adhering to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses, calculations, and design for site development, foundations, retaining walls, earthwork, and pavements.
• Utilize engineering software and tools for design, modeling, and data analysis (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, Tablogs).
• Perform site investigations, field inspections, and data collection to support project objectives.
• Draft exploration reports for review by senior professionals.
• Develop foundational knowledge in environmental regulations, civil design principles, geotechnical investigations, and construction material testing under supervision.

Education

ABET-accredited degree program in Civil/Environmental/Geotechnical Engineering
