Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking an Engineering Staff Associate to support environmental, civil, geotechnical, and construction material testing projects in the Asheville area. You will assist with fieldwork, data collection, and basic analysis under supervision.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited degree and are pursuing EIT or GIT; 0-2 years of relevant experience is expected, with willingness to travel regionally, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program in Civil/Environmental/Geotechnical engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields.
• Currently in progress towards Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses, calculations, and design for site development, foundations, earthwork and pavements.
• Utilize engineering software and tools for design, modeling, and data analysis (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, TabLogs).
• Conduct site investigations, field inspections, and data collection to support project objectives.
• Draft exploration reports for review by senior professionals.
• Support senior staff in environmental, civil, geotechnical and construction material testing projects.
