Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB operations, governance, and reporting. You will ensure accurate CI data, drive audits, and partner with IT teams to support incident, change, and problem management in a regulated federal environment.

The role requires hands-on CMDB experience, ITIL knowledge, and the ability to work across operations and engineering to sustain trusted data for decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
• 4–7 years in configuration management or IT operations.
• Experience with ITIL-aligned CMDB and incident/change processes.
• Experience using ITSM/CMDB platforms to maintain CIs and generate reports.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMDB operations by managing CIs and relationships.
• Analyze discovery feeds and change records to fix data discrepancies.
• Plan and execute CMDB audits and certifications with owning teams.
• Configure ITSM/CMDB tools to build queries, reports, dashboards.
• Ensure records link to CIs to improve traceability and reporting.
• Define and report CMDB data quality metrics and governance.
• Contribute to configuration management plans aligned with ITIL in federal environment.
