Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager in Fairborn, OH to support the Club Manager in daily operations and deliver a Judgment Free Zone experience. You will lead staff, drive membership growth and retention, supervise front desk and cleaning teams, and ensure a clean, safe environment in line with company standards.

You will handle scheduling, member tours, sign-ups, inquiries, and escalate issues to maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work onsite; this is not a remote role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Customer service excellence in a fitness environment preferred.
• CPR/AED Certification within required timeframes; tanning certification may be required.
• Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff Leadership & Training: support hiring, training, and performance management.
• Operations & Facility Management: oversee daily club operations, safety, and cleanliness.
• Member Experience & Customer Service: promote a welcoming environment and handle member inquiries.
• Front desk duties: answer phones, check-ins, and tours for prospective members.
• Inventory & scheduling: monitor supplies and provide shift coverage as needed.
• Compliance: enforce policies and ensure adherence to safety standards.
