Job summary

Planet Fitness in Royal Pines, NC is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee club operations and deliver a Judgement Free member experience. You will lead a team through onboarding, coaching, and task completion, while supporting KPI-driven priorities and ensuring safety, cleanliness, and excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• 9-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
• 9-12 months of experience supervising and leading team is preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness)
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Model the behaviors to provide an outstanding member experience; coach and inspire others to do the same.
• Assist in resolving employee concerns.
• Provide backup staffing support as needed.
• Manage inventory system for cleaning supplies.
• Ordering club supplies and retail product.
• Track KPI to identify areas of strengths and opportunities; game plan with club manager.
• Support the Club Manager with hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Assess and assist in emergency situations.
• Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with questions and check-ins.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone and uphold club policies.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager as needed.
• Answer phones and assist inquiries.
• Perform membership sign-ups, updates, cancellations, and transfers.
• Conduct tours to assess membership needs.
• Execute retail transactions and drive sales goals.
• Regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked; maintain hygiene standards.
• Perform safety walk-throughs and address issues.
• Address maintenance and facility concerns promptly.
