Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Club Manager in daily operations and to ensure a superior “Judgement Free” member experience. The role involves onboarding and training teammates, leading tasks, and driving KPI achievements to align with club priorities.

You will supervise staff, resolve concerns, assist with hiring, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and smooth service across the floor, front desk, and facilities.

Qualifications

• 9-12 months of experience in a customer service environment preferred.
• 9-12 months of experience supervising and leading a team preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Model behaviors to provide an outstanding member experience; coach and inspire others.
• Assist in resolving employee concerns and provide backup staffing when needed.
• Manage inventory system for cleaning supplies and order club supplies.
• Track KPIs and develop a plan with the club manager.
• Support in hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Assess and assist in emergencies.
• Greet members and guests, assist with questions during check-in.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone and assist members on the club floor.
• Handle member concerns and escalate to a Manager as needed.
• Answer phones and assist callers with inquiries.
• Perform membership sign-ups, updates, cancellations, and transfers.
• Conduct tours for prospective members.
