Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain and repair servers and network components across AWS data centers.

You will diagnose hardware issues, perform on-site repairs, and collaborate with engineers, vendors, and contractors to ensure high availability and safety standards. The role requires travel between data center sites, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working shifts to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents affecting service availability.
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal/external stakeholders, including engineers and vendors.
• Take on on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements; train and onboard new team members.
