Job summary

Amazon VA Ashburn is seeking a Data Center Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair server hardware and network components across 24/7 operations. You will travel between data centers as needed and document issues to support maintenance and change management.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, on-site shifts, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. A background in data centers and ticketing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Knowledge of network design and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Networking.
• Experience working in a data center or critical environment.
• Experience managing work via a ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Create documentation and contribute to process improvements.
• Train and onboard new team members.
• Take ownership of technical issues and drive resolution.
