Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Data Center Technician to install and repair servers, diagnose hardware and network issues, and participate in on-call rotations to keep AWS global infrastructure running.

This role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, travel between data centers, and the ability to work shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will join a diverse team and contribute to safety, reliability, and cost‑effective operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to documentation and onboarding of new team members.
