Job summary

Zippy is a remote-first lender focused on manufactured home loans. The Closing Operations Specialist – Broker will coordinate closings for the broker channel, acting as the primary contact for brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate final figures and documents.

The role emphasizes guiding borrowers through closing documents, coordinating with title companies, and enabling a seamless remote closing experience.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of loan closing experience in housing market; manufactured housing experience appreciated.
• Experience supporting mortgage brokers or wholesale lending transactions and coordinating with title companies, escrow officers or settlement agents.
• Ability to review and balance final loan documents and settlement statements, identify discrepancies, and coordinate timely resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional and responsive with broker and settlement partner relationships.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that evolves with technology and scale.
• Detail-oriented and process-focused; ability to manage multiple closings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central contact for external mortgage brokers, settlement agents, and internal account executives to resolve late-stage closing bottlenecks and keep closings moving.
• Balance final loan documents and settlement statements with title companies, escrow officers, or settlement agents; resolve discrepancies before finalization.
• Communicate with wholesale lending brokers in a professional, courteous and timely manner; provide loan status updates and follow up on requirements.
• Create an approachable digital closing experience; guide borrowers through closing documents and facilitate remote online notarization.
• Develop knowledge of Zippy’s loan products and perform QA on closing documents; coordinate corrections with internal teams and settlement partners.
• Proactively resolve closing issues, track outstanding items and prepare for loan servicing.
• Organize competing priorities and coordinate with brokers, account executives, settlement partners and internal teams to deliver timely closings.
• Provide actionable feedback on Zippy’s systems, technology and workflows.
• Share prior experience and lessons learned to improve broker support and borrower experience.
