Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead the club’s closing operations, oversee Recovery, Utility and Perishable departments, and ensure a clean, stocked store ready for morning open.

The role requires ServSafe certification, a high school diploma, 2 years in retail/perishables, and strong leadership. You’ll coach teams, monitor compliance, and drive a safe, high‑performing member experience.

Qualifications

• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing.
• Lead by presence on the floor to monitor execution and engage Members.
• Maintain GOLD Standards and ensure a greeting, anticipation, and appreciation.
• Coach onboarding and certifications such as ServSafe and forklift training.
• Collaborate with Club leadership to improve closing routines.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and audit readiness daily.
• Drive inventory control, product rotation, and merchandising in perishable areas.
