Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead club operations during closing hours, oversee Recovery, Utility and Perishable departments, and ensure GOLD standards for a premium member experience.

You will coach teams, enforce safety and training requirements (ServSafe), manage audits, and drive daily execution through effective communication, scheduling and performance metrics to support strong results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing to ensure clean, stocked areas for morning open.
• Lead the club when on duty, driving member engagement and club performance.
• Assist in audit readiness and training to ensure food safety and operational excellence.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards and use BJ’s MY WORK system for assigned tasks.
