Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead a multi-department team during closing, ensuring clean, stocked operations and a high level of member service.

You will supervise Recovery, Utility, and Perishable areas, drive daily performance, coach staff, and uphold safety and audit standards. ServSafe certification is required; strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing and overnight prep.
• Lead by example to ensure GOLD standards and a positive member experience.
• Maintain audit readiness, safety protocols, and staff certifications.
• Coach onboarding and certifications, and ensure effective communication across shifts.
