Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead, guide teams, and drive club performance during closing shifts. You will oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments, ensuring clean, stocked, and ready-for-open conditions while maintaining safety and service standards.

The role requires ServSafe certification, open-shift availability, and strong leadership to deliver exceptional member experiences and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Experience in managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• Open shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments to ensure cleanliness, stocking, and readiness for morning open.
• Lead by presence during closing, engage with Members, and support team performance.
• Maintain GOLD Standards and ensure timely service recovery.
• Coach onboarding and certifications; reinforce ServSafe and department training.
• Collaborate with club leadership to improve closing routines and member experience.
