Job summary

Compass International Holdings is seeking an escrow officer in Houston to serve as the human link between our process and people. You’ll review contracts at the start, manage paperwork in the middle, and ensure titles are clean, taxes are paid, and loans funded so no funds or property change hands until all terms are completed.

You’ll work with agents and clients to keep the process moving, build essential industry relationships, train escrow assistants, and deliver a seamless closing with

Qualifications

• Two to three years of escrow experience, front- and back-end.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
• Technical knowledge of closing process.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication to coordinate with parties.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts from start to finish to ensure timely, error-free closings.
• Verify paperwork so escrow closes on time.
• Coordinate with lenders and underwriters to fund and complete transactions.
• Build relationships with agents, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and agencies.
• Reach out to new agents and provide white-glove service to retain them.
• Train escrow assistants and delegate, audit, and guide work.
• Be present at closing to ensure a positive experience.
