Job summary

Compass International Holdings in Crestwood, KY is seeking an experienced escrow officer to review contracts, manage the paperwork, and coordinate with agents and clients to keep transactions moving toward closing.

You will verify title status, ensure taxes are paid, and collaborate with lenders and underwriters to fund and complete deals, delivering white-glove service and building strong relationships with our network of agents, buyers, and sellers.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; take continuing education courses as required.
• Experience: Two to three years of escrow experience, both front- and back-end experience.
• Certification: Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
• Industry awareness: Technical knowledge of closing process.
• Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Communications skills: Strong written and verbal skills to keep agents, buyers, sellers, and all other parties up to date with the process and work with them to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts from start to finish to ensure timely and accurate closing.
• Verify all paperwork is complete for escrow to close on time and correctly.
• Coordinate with lenders and underwriters to fund and complete transactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and government agencies.
• Reach out to new agents and retain existing ones by delivering high-quality service.
• Train escrow assistants and delegate tasks to enable advancement.
