Compass International Holdings is seeking an escrow officer who acts as the human link between contracts, lenders, title companies, and homebuyers. You review contracts at the start, verify paperwork, and ensure timely, accurate closings while maintaining compliance.

You will manage multiple transactions with agents and clients, keep everyone informed, and deliver white-glove service through meticulous attention to detail and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; required continuing education as needed.
• Experience: Two to three years of escrow experience on front- and back-end processes.
• Certification: Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
• Industry awareness: Knowledge of closing process.
• Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to keep parties updated.

Responsibilities

• Know the contract from start to finish and drive timely, accurate closings.
• Verify all paperwork so escrow closes on time and correctly.
• Coordinate with lenders and underwriters to fund transactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents, attorneys, lenders, and government agencies.
• Reach out to new agents and provide white-glove service to retain business.
• Train escrow assistants and delegate tasks to enable advancement.
• Be present at closing and ensure a positive experience for all parties.
