Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS/Medical Scribe) to support primary care providers with timely, accurate documentation. You will observe visits, document encounters, and help close care gaps using ICD-10 and CPT coding within CVS Health’s care framework.

Ideal candidates have clinical exposure, strong typing skills, and proficiency in languages spoken in our communities. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities in a value-based care

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Advanced listening and communication skills.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by communities served.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters and prepare structured notes.
• Join the provider in the exam room to observe and document visits.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support clinical documentation improvement and review medical records.
• Provide administrative support to the care team and assist with referrals.
