Oak Street Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS/Medical Scribe) to support primary care providers with real‑time documentation and coding. You’ll observe visits, document encounters, and help close care gaps using our value‑based care tools.

Ideal candidates have pre‑medical background, clinical exposure, and strong listening and typing skills. This full‑time role requires in‑clinic work, HIPAA compliance, and a willingness to learn our workflows.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications (required)
• Prior clinical experience including shadowing/volunteering (strongly preferred)
• Prior scribe or transcription experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters and assign CPT/ICD-10 codes
• Join provider in exam room to observe and document visits
• Prepare After Visit Summaries and ensure clear documentation
• Support care team with referrals and documentation tasks
