Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to act as a member’s navigator for medication therapy management. You will review medication lists, facilitate refills and new prescriptions, and coordinate MTM interventions with pharmacists and external partners.

The role emphasizes communication with patients, providers, and pharmacies, and includes handling patient assessments to identify barriers to adherence and ensure safe, effective therapy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience communicating with patients, providers, and pharmacists regarding medications.
• Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB/NHA) or licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication lists to support adherence and safe therapy.
• Assist members with refills, new prescriptions, appointments, and access to medications.
• Coordinate MTM interventions with Healthfirst pharmacists and partners.
• Monitor member adherence with community pharmacies.
• Conduct patient health assessments to identify barriers to adherence.
• Handle member and provider communications by phone; in-person when needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
