Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a pharmacist to support oncology services within the Carle Cancer Center. You will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, participate in rounds, and collaborate with hematology/oncology teams to optimize therapy and safety across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role includes consulting on dosing, managing MTM activities, and supporting investigational trial drug preparation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with active Illinois license (IDFPR).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Clinical work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Intervene to improve prescribing, administration, and monitoring practices.
• Provide MTM services and patient education as defined by Pharmacy Practice Act.
• Determine optimal dosing based on age, weight, and renal/hepatic function.
• Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams.
• Oversee preparation of chemotherapy and investigational medications.
• Participate in treatment planning and safety initiatives.
