Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research is seeking a Manager, Clinical Business Operations in Grand Rapids, MI. You will own CTMS and Filemaker data integrity, coordinate with nursing and pharmacy leadership on Aria/eDAR terminology, and ensure accurate coding and charge mapping for clinical activities.

You will partner with finance and operations to monitor data quality, resolve invoicing issues, and support revenue cycle processes across active protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical research operations, healthcare revenue cycle, or a combination of both.
• Working knowledge of CTMS (OnCore or equivalent) and familiarity with EDC platforms and ERP systems (NetSuite or equivalent).
• Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies across multiple information systems; strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate recording of clinical activity in CTMS and Filemaker; nursing and pharmacy leadership own Aria/eDAR data.
• Bridge clinical documentation with billing systems and coordinate with study staff to ensure correct coding and charge mapping.
• Monitor data quality metrics and report trends to leadership on a defined cadence.
• Support sponsor disputes and invoicing with site-level data and documentation to facilitate resolution.
• Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, and site operations to resolve billing exceptions and improve processes.
